If you are wanting to take part, our Personal Trainer Ed Ley has been contacted by Above and Beyond Charities who have ten places left for the Bristol Half Marathon.

As we are now so close to the event, they are asking for £35 per runner to cover what they paid for the places, plus whatever the runner can raise in sponsorship, with no minimum.

Above & Beyond Charities is the charity for all nine hospitals within University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and they fund projects which touch the lives of the thousands of people cared for by the Hospitals and their local community services each year. Their current major Appeal is the CaRE Appeal, aiming to raise £500,000 as part of a commitment to transform the Bristol Hematology and Oncology Centre, which treats thousands of Cancer patients from Bristol and the South West each year.

Runners can choose to support this Appeal, or pick their own part of the hospital to support.

As an added bonus, they have also teamed up with luxury mega yacht Harmony, which is moored by the registration stand, offering a place to meet, store bags and go for a change and shower after the race in one of their Hilton Hotel style suites. There will be rehydration and sports massage after the race for the runners, with the opportunity to buy food and drink. Spectators can also buy tickets at £10 each.
